Successful race weekend for Volkswagen at the third round of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship at Brands Hatch.
Guest entrant Jazeman Jaafar (Malaysia) won the second of the three races which does not count in the European Championship classification, though. William Buller (Great Britain) who like Jaafar drives a Dallara F312 Volkswagen of Team Carlin managed the leap on to the podium by finishing the third race as the runner-up. Carlos Sainz jr., another Carlin driver, finished both the first and the third race in fourth place, thus occupying the shared second place in the European Championship.
