Herndon, VA - The Volkswagen Passat continues to earn plaudits from both the media and consumers, who just voted it the top rated premium mid-size car in the Autobytel and AutoPacific 2012 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. Other Volkswagen vehicles to collect these awards were Beetle, which was Top Rated Compact Car; GTI, Top Rated Premium Compact Car; and Tiguan, Top Rated Compact Crossover SUV. Volkswagen had the most individual awards for a single brand, with four in total.
Autobytel Inc, the company dedicated to helping car dealers and car-buyers connect online, and AutoPacific, the market research and product-consulting firm, surveyed more than 75,000 vehicle owners for the awards. These are designed to help consumers make informed vehicle purchase decisions via a true “word of mouth” survey. The survey measures how satisfied an owner is with his or her new vehicle, based on 48 individual vehicle attributes designed to objectively measure the ownership experience.
