Unsurpassed: the new Amarok Ultimate

•Special model with bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights and modified appearance
•Further engine variants for single and double cab

Hannover, 11th June 2014 – The successful Amarok pick-up is starting its new model year with a variant that is particularly comprehensively equipped. The primary identifying feature of the new Amarok Ultimate is the modified front appearance with new bi-xenon headlights and additional chrome elements.

Based on the already comprehensively equipped Amarok Highline, the Amarok Ultimate shines as a new top model of the Amarok range with numerous interesting features. Especially striking is the intricately devised graphic of the bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED lighting strip. They give the Amarok not only improved lighting, but together with the two twin chrome bars on the radiator grille they give the Amarok Ultimate a greatly modified visual appearance as well. These new headlights can now also be ordered for all other Amarok models. The Amarok is thus the world's first pick-up of its class for which bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights are available as an option.

Further visual features of the 'ultimate' Amarok are the silver wing mirror covers, darkened rear lights with LED number plate illumination, polished 19-inch 'Aragonit' alloy wheels with 255/55 tyres, special lettering, a silver-coloured design underbody guard and a styling bar as well as sill sidebars in chrome. The Amarok Ultimate also comes as standard with ParkPilot, including Rear Assist reversing camera, electric folding and heated wing mirrors, alarm system, heated front seats and the 'RNS 315' navigation system complete with mobile phone preparation. The interior is further enhanced by anthracite and titanium black Alcantara seat covers and special cut-pile floor mats. The vehicle body colours available are Candy White, Natural Grey, Reflex Silver, Starlight Blue, Toffee Brown and Deep Black.

The Amarok Ultimate is powered by a choice of TDI engines delivering 103 or 132 kW in combination with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, manual or automatic transmission, with the exception of the models with BlueMotion Technology.

Prices for the Amarok Ultimate start from €34,770 (net) or €41,376.30 (incl. VAT).

There are two further models now also new in the range: the Amarok SingleCab with 8-speed automatic transmission combined with permanent all-wheel drive and the 132 kW TDI engine (from €31,267.25 incl. VAT) and the equally powerful versions of the rear-wheel drive variants of the Amarok (SingleCab and DoubleCab).
