The New Bush Lamborghini? VW Amarok V6 TDI Review

A vehicle which can tow 3.3 tonnes, carry 1 tonne of cargo and complete the 0-100km/h sprint in 8 seconds? All while seating 5 in comfort.

It's probably a bit unnecessary, but Volkswagen thought that was just what the South African bakkie market was looking for.

And so they've released the new Amarok V6 TDI 4Motion. Featuring a 3.0L turbodiesel V6, virtually the same engine which features in other, much more expensive, Volkswagen Group products, this Amarok is now the most powerful bakkie available in South Africa.

In this review, we get to grips with the refreshed 2017 Amarok, which has received a mid-life cycle upgrade, as well as taking the car out of the city to really stretch its legs.
