FAW VW Tayron X, is no longer called Tylcon

The FAW Volkswagen Coupe SUV, the Tayron X has been unofficially revealed via the usual Chinese VW leaks at the Approval stage via the Chinese Government.

The reveal shows that Tayron X has a very attractive Coupe SUV design for the Chinese consumer. Also, the Tylcon name has been dropped, in favour of the Chinese X designation for VW Coupe SUV's after the SAIC Volkswagen produced Teramont X

The Tayron X will be the more sporty individual option instead of the family orientated Tayron.

R Line trim, Coloured Alloy Wheels, and Panoramic Sunroof are same of the visual distinctions to altering your Tayron X the way you want it. Powering the Tayron X will be the ever-reliable EA888 2.0L TSI with 162kW with 7 speed DSG.

The Tayron X has dimensions of Length of 4626mm, Width of 1860mm, Height of 1662mm and wheelbase of 2730mm. This sits between the European Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace in size.

SAIC Volkswagen will reveal later in the year a Tiguan X Coupe SUV that will be based on the Tiguan Allspace wheelbase. This may be part of the facelifted Tiguan range for Europe, fingers crossed.
