Volkswagen brand shares first facts about new SUV - Taos.
In the lineup Volkswagen Taos is positioned as a more compact SUV than the Tiguan. Its length will be 4417 mm, width - 1841 mm, height - 1602 mm.
Taos' design is fast-paced and dynamic. The distinctive front end and the bonnet with powerful relief draw attention, while the LED daytime running light pattern and the light strip extending to the sides of the logo add a touch of technology. The Taos exterior is complemented by wheel rims ranging from 16 '' to 18 '' (depending on equipment), as well as silver bumper trims, trapezoidal tailpipes and black or silver roof rails.
For the Russian market, the crossover will be offered with two engine options: atmospheric 110 hp. in combination with a 5-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive, as well as a turbocharged 150-horsepower engine paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive or a 7-speed automatic gearbox and 4Motion all-wheel drive.
Among the functional equipment of the model are: a wide range of IQ.Drive driver assistance systems, IQ.Light adaptive lighting technologies, modern security systems, a package of winter options, Climatronic dual-zone climate control, rain and light sensors, front and rear parking sensors, atmospheric lighting, as well as a rear view camera with a washer.
The Taos model is the first in the Russian line of Volkswagen cars to receive a fundamentally new multimedia system with a 10 ”display, an intuitive interface reminiscent of high-speed modern smartphones, Bluetooth and App-Connect support.
For the Russian market, the model will be offered in three versions: Respect, Status and Exclusive. In addition, a limited edition JOY! - a special Taos version based on the Status version and available in Energetic Orange and Cappuccino Beige. The interior of the special edition features bright decorative trim in orange colors.
Each of the configurations can be supplemented with packages with an expanded list of equipment, as well as a number of individual options.
