Spectacular show car from Saxony
The trainees from the Saxon Volkswagen locations in Chemnitz, Dresden and Zwickau built an individual ID.3 Showcar for the tuning meeting at Lake Wörthersee
Volkswagen trainees traditionally show a special tuning project at the GTI meeting at Wörthersee. Since the meeting could not take place in 2021 either, we give the young people the opportunity to present their fantastic ID.3 in Dresden. From June the vehicle will be exhibited in our factory.
This includes 14 trainees from the Zwickau vehicle plant, the Chemnitz engine plant, and the Dresden Transparent Factory.
Together with their godparents, they have created a vehicle that combines sportiness, dynamism, and environmental compatibility.
The vehicle was designed with a combination of matt and gloss colors from the color palette of VW, Bentley, and Lamborghini.
A special neon paint with fluorescent powder in the paint impresses with light effects and particularly emphasizes the design feature of the ID. Honeycomb on the C-pillar. 21 inch forged rims and a body widening with adjustment of the bumpers give the ID.3 a sporty note.
Leather and Alcantara are used throughout the interior, the decorative seams on the sports seats light up in the neon signal color, as do parts of the cockpit. Laser technology was used in the door panels, which rounds off the individual overall concept.
This includes the omission of the exterior mirrors through the integration of a virtual camera system and the expansion of the trunk, which makes the rear axle and the drive visible through a printed and resinated window.
