Volkswagen unveiled the Passat ePro and the all-new Tayron L plug-in hybrid models, demonstrating the brand's commitment to continuous electrification.

At the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, Volkswagen is accelerating its entry into the era of electrification, with the debut of two new plug-in hybrid models—the SAIC Volkswagen Passat ePro and the FAW-Volkswagen Tayron L plug-in hybrid. Under the theme "Built for the People," Volkswagen's two new hybrid models are based on classic gasoline-powered models from its lineup. They not only signify Volkswagen's continued commitment to its "In China, For China" strategy but also demonstrate its ability to meet diverse user needs through flexible powertrain combinations. Built on SAIC Volkswagen's new-generation plug-in hybrid platform, the Passat ePro is equipped with the EA211 1.5T EVO II high-efficiency hybrid engine, renowned for its high output and exceptional durability, delivering a refreshingly smooth and electric driving experience.
