- V6 TDI model with an output of 177 kW, torque of 600 Nm and 10-speed automatic gearbox
- Dark add-on parts and an elegantly designed interior based on the standard equipment from the Amarok Style variant
The Amarok Dark Label is back: the all-black Amarok is back and can now finally be pre-ordered as a new generation. Engine variant in Europe: a V6 TDI diesel engine with an output of 177 kilowatts, a torque of 600 newton metres and a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
All in black, or almost: as the latest special Amarok model, the Dark Label can now be pre-ordered exclusively in the three dark exterior colours Midnight Black metallic, Dark Grey metallic or Bright Blue metallic. The configurator for the German market is now open: Configure your ideal vehicle | Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
The Amarok Dark Label is immediately recognisable by its lettering and 20-inch alloy wheels in matt black. The front end, radiator grille and underbody protection are also in black, along with the lettering on the sides, the privacy glazing with dark-tinted rear side windows, matt black B-pillars and roof rails as well as the black exterior mirrors, steps and door handles. And from the rear, the Amarok Dark Label can be recognised by the black rear bumper, its darkened tail lights, a matt-black styling bar, the dark rear window and a black handle on the tailgate. A V6 badge also adorns the new Amarok special model.
In the interior of the Dark Label, the pick-up is enhanced by seats in dark ArtVelours and black door trim as well as a centre console and headliner in Ebony Black. A leather steering wheel with Dark Label badge and velour floor mats with Dark Label lettering at the front provide the finishing touches for the dark ambience of the Amarok special model.
Depending on equipment, more than 25 assist systems, displays with 12.3-inch screen diagonal, a practical mix of digital and analogue controls and high-quality materials ensure a premium-class feeling on board the Amarok. Thanks to a payload of up to 1.18 tonnes, a maximum trailer weight of up to 3.5 tonnes (depending on the model variant, market and equipment) and an optimised cargo box, the new Amarok excels at every conceivable task for work or leisure. The Amarok Dark Label (Style base model) offers a payload of 1.09 tonnes in the EU version with a maximum trailer weight of 3.5 tonnes.
The Amarok is thus available in a total of four model variants – as the Amarok Style, as the top-of-the-range versions PanAmericana (off-road styling) and Aventura (exclusive styling), and now also as the new Dark Label version.
In Europe, the Amarok is designed as a four-door pick-up with double cab. With a vehicle length of 5,350 mm and a wheelbase of 3,270 mm, it offers plenty of space.
The worldwide engine range includes 2.0-litre four-cylinder TDIs and a 3.0-litre six-cylinder TDI with a market-dependent output of up to 177 kW (EU) or 184 kW; a 2.3-litre TSI petrol engine with 222 kW is additionally available (other markets). Depending on the model series and market, the new Amarok is offered with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a ten-speed automatic gearbox. The TSI, TDI inline and V6 TDI engines deliver between 350 and 600 newton metres of torque. All models come with rear-wheel drive, or in Europe as 4MOTION all-wheel drive – in this case always with reduction gear. These have either an engageable all-wheel drive (2H, 4H, 4L) or, in the EU, always an extended engageable all-wheel drive (4A, 2H, 4H, 4L).
The Amarok is being launched in Germany at net prices from 54,201.00 euros (64,499.19 euros incl. VAT) in the Style version. The Dark Label special model is available at net prices starting from 57,536.00 euros (68,467.84 euros incl. VAT) and is already equipped as standard with LED matrix lighting, 12-inch Infotainment system, digital cockpit with 12.3-inch colour display and electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
