The Constellation has also performed well on the international market. More than 47,000 units have been exported, with a strong market presence in strategically-positioned Latin American countries. Argentina, Mexico, and Chile can be highlighted as the vehicle’s main destinations.
In 2025, more than 15,000 vehicles from the Constellation family were registered in Brazil, with a high level of representativity in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Paraná. This year, we started January off on a positive note in the heavy-duty 6x2 market segment and continued to lead the segment with more than 280 units registered. These results reinforce the competitiveness of the Constellation line and preference for the brand among carriers.
"Upon completing two decades of history, the Constellation is reaffirming its role as a pillar at VWTB. Its continued success is the result of development aligned with customers’ actual needs, bringing together Brazilian engineering, custom-tailored solutions, and a constant evolution – attributes that ensure that Constellation remains one of the most admired and widely-used trucks in the country," said Ricardo Alouche, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and After-Sales at Volkswagen Truck & Bus.
The Constellation has also set itself apart with its presence in key sectors of the Brazilian economy, such as the beverage industry, thanks to its chassis, which is designed for high-demand operations. In civil construction, it has become synonymous with strength and durability and is used in extremely demanding projects and applications. In the waste collection sector, the Constellation has established itself as one of the preferred models among fleet owners and municipalities due to its durability, ergonomics, and low operating cost.
The VW Constellation 24.250 – the family’s first great icon – marked the start of this successful trajectory. The model quickly won over customers across the country and became a leader in its market segment. Its versatility, durability, and simplified maintenance paved the way for the expansion of the line and the consolidation of the brand in the field of cargo transport.
Another highlight over these 20 years was the VW Constellation Titan, which gained notoriety under the concept “less you don’t want, more you don’t need”. This motto captures the model’s purpose: offer exactly what carriers need to operate efficiently and with a high level of strength and economy, without unnecessary extras and complexity.
