ID. ERA 9X Debuts: A New Era of Joint Venture Masterpiece
In today's increasingly rational competition in the new energy vehicle market, users are paying more attention to the reliability, stable experience, and long-lasting technology of brands and products. Leveraging 42 years of automotive manufacturing experience, SAIC Volkswagen has always put users at the center, deeply integrating German automotive expertise with Chinese intelligent technology in the new era of joint ventures, adhering to the "human-centered technology" philosophy, and creating high-quality models that better understand user needs.
SAIC Volkswagen's "German-engineered flagship SUV," the ID. ERA 9X, made a grand debut at this year's auto show and will officially launch on April 25th. As the inaugural model in the ID. ERA series, the new vehicle boasts flagship-level product strength thanks to nine cutting-edge technologies, including the EA211 golden range extender, Xingyun intelligent assisted driving, Xingyun intelligent chassis, Smart Surface magic screen, and dynamic zero-gravity seats, achieving a "fully equipped" experience across all scenarios.
Hybrid Dual-Engine Strategy Launched; ePro Dual-Vehicle Debut Opens New Horizons
At the press conference, SAIC Volkswagen officially launched its hybrid dual-engine strategy. The first engine is the range extender, with the ID. ERA 9X as its flagship, boasting a mature golden range extender system and high overall vehicle intelligence. The second engine is the plug-in hybrid, represented by the Passat ePro and Tiguan L ePro, forming a "golden triangle" of "efficiency, experience, and quality." The Tiguan and Passat families have achieved total sales exceeding 7.25 million units since their launch. The debut of these two new models marks the official arrival of hybrid members in the Pro family and is a significant step in the implementation of SAIC Volkswagen's "simultaneous development of gasoline and electric vehicles" strategy.
Both ePro models adopt SAIC Volkswagen's new generation of super hybrid technology, featuring a dual-power, dual-energy system architecture. In terms of power, both models are equipped with the EA211 1.5T turbocharged engine, employing the same VTG variable geometry turbocharger technology as Porsche, achieving more efficient and stable power output. The transmission system is matched with a TQ251 gearbox, enabling seamless switching between four core operating conditions and selection of three energy modes, delivering a smooth and fluid driving experience.
Both models will be officially launched at the end of May, providing users with a high-quality hybrid option that can be powered by gasoline or electric power and eliminates range anxiety.
At the same time, the Pro family made a collective appearance, with several star models such as the ID.3 , Lavida Pro , all-new Lamando L , and Viloran showing the phased achievements of SAIC Volkswagen in continuously promoting "intelligent integration of oil and electricity" and accelerating intelligent transformation.
