[November 2020, Beijing/Shenzhen] The Volkswagen brand celebrated the successful China debut of two pure electric ID.4 models with a spectacular drone show in Shenzhen. In the future, FAW-Volkswagen ID.4 CROZZ and SAIC-Volkswagen ID.4 X will truly change the way of playing. In the performance, a 4,500-square-meter grand formation composed of 2,000 drones formed the words "Hello" and the 400-meter-long 3D model of the Volkswagen brand ID.4 in the air, which was presented to Shenzhen, China and the world. It showed the first member of the ID. family that the Volkswagen brand brought to the Chinese market.
The two ID.4 models of the Volkswagen brand will truly change the automotive industry and bring electric mobility for everyone. In this splendid drone show, the drones were pre-programmed to form 15 3D patterns, further demonstrating the Volkswagen brand's steps towards the digital age. ID.4 CROZZ and ID.4 X appeared in the air for the first time with dynamic gradual 3D patterns. Moreover, a customized drone equipped with a 6K mini cinema-level camera quickly shuttled between the patterns of the models, with a first-person view (FPV) All this is recorded.
Not only that, the drone also formed a 147-meter-high Volkswagen brand emblem, which was also the highest pattern in the entire performance. The shooting time of the whole drone show is more than 4 days, divided into 2 flights of 10 minutes each day, using 8 conventional 4K camera drones and 2 6K FPV camera drones for shooting. The widest formation of drones is the "Earth" pattern with a diameter of 450 meters, and the largest ID.4 model composition is an 83:1 ratio, 400 meters long, 161 meters wide and 142 meters high.
